Hello.
Friday I saw "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" Loved it!
A group of seniors go to India to heal, reflect, atone and re-evaluate their lives.
I have always loved Judy Dench. In this movie she's a widow who falls for the
Bill Nighy character who is married to an especially mean, selfish women.
Is there any role Tom Wilkenson can't excel ? He's subtle as the bottled up, gay
former judge who comes to India to find a lost love. He believes his life was ruined
when family/authorities came upon the young lovers. He has always regretted
not standing up for his love and has come back to find out how his life turned out.
It was refreshing to see Maggie Smith in a move other than Harry Potter. She's
perfect as the acid wit, bigot in need of a hip replacement and a reason to get
back to the joy in life, to feel useful and needed once more.
This movie was the perfect mixture of humor, pathos and fun. I highly recommend it.
I'll have a review of the new MIB soon.
